Choosing white chocolate to eat ,over milk or dark chocolate
Everyone can who is old enough can remember the advert for milky bar ,basically a kid riding a horse eating white chocolate ,nestle was the 1st company to to introduce White chocolate in 1930,white chocolate is made of cocoa butter, milk and sugar.
Most of the time, the cocoa butter is deodorized to remove its strong and undesirable taste that would affect the flavour of the finished chocolate. And there are rules that state what white chocolate may be marketed as. In the United States, since 2004, white chocolate must be at least 20% cocoa butter, at least 14% total milk solids, at least 3.5% milk fat, and less than 55% sugar or other sweeteners, their was a time Before this date, where U.S. firms required temporary marketing permits to sell white chocolate.
In Europe there have adopted a different rule, placing no limit on sugar or sweeteners. Their is less cocoa paste in white chocolate although their are made the same way as milk chocolate and dark chocolate, there can be a confusion about some preparations of white chocolate, but they are made different and their use hydrogenated vegetable and animal fats therefore have a different composition and does not come form cocoa normal their is a taste difference and lacks the cocoa paste, liquor or powder. Also there is a noticeable shade difference in colour and texture,so anybody thinking of buying white chocolate should read the label for the above information to help with your choose and enjoy,the milky bars are on me
