I collect jewelry pendants that are. I think its such a cool skill to blow glass .
I’ve seen some exquisite pieces. When I was in Thailand a fellow soldier had taken a taxi into town and bought an incredibly detailed blown glass model of the King’s boat ( had temple turrets, about 20 oarsman per side, dragon heads, everything). He made it back on a Thai bus, walked the mile from the main gate to the barracks, up the stairs to the second floor, carefully placed the boat in his locker and gently closed the door. As he turned to tell us of his adventure, we heard the unmistakable sound of millions of shards of glass falling in his locker. He opened the door and there was a pile of powdered glass where the boat had just been. You don’t laugh when a soldier cries.
