Candle Holders

The appearance and style will be given a lot of importance when one chooses a candle holder. One of the most beautiful varieties of holder is the hurricane candle-holder. These are best suited for keeping pillar candles. These holders are made of glass with a round and wide base. Many of them look like hour glasses due to the presence of tapers in the middle.

The real hurricane candle holders will have a brass base and a glass chimney. The base is usually square, round or oval. In modern holders the chimney might be made out of colored glass, mosaics or other materials. Chimneys are usually in square or tubular shape traditionally. One can choose the shape according to the type of candle that you use. In some holders the chimney can be separated from the base while in some it is not possible.

These holders are available in the sizes ranging from 7 inches to 14 inches. Earlier the hurricane lamp which made use of oil was popular. When people started using candles it was transformed into a common holder. Though the holders were more popularly used during a time when there was no electricity now they have gained popularity. It is mainly brought for decorations. We can see them placed on a table with flower vases arranged around them. Sometimes a ribbon may be tied around it. This gives an ethnic appearance.

The holder is available in different colors with beautiful engravings. The usually available colors are bronze, white, green, copper, silver and black. As these look traditional people may hang it in their gardens especially during parties to entertain their guests. Nowadays people are going back to candle holder hurricane with the traditional outlook. While you use hurricane holders it would be better if you use the candles which best suits the color of the holder to give it a fantastic look.

AMBER VASE Q & A
I am a vendor of fairtrade items- about one third of which is jewelry. To complement the fairtrade, I am?

thinking of adding recycled depression glass jewelry- eco friendly- made in the United States and depression glass bud small vases. The pendants are long rectangular and so are the earrings. They are stunning. The earrings would sell for 35.00 and the pendants with 18″ sterling silver chains would sell for $45.00. My current most expensive piece now is $25.00- I am asking whether depression glass is popular, and which colors might be most popular- choices of ruby, cobalt, teal, green, pink, amber, golden amber, mason jar clear and olive. I will start with five colors. I have a booth all year round in a lovely indoor market- to be opening every weekend beginning in early May. Are there any suggestions as to whether the idea is good, whether people today can afford prices like that and also which colors might sell more than others?
